Carole Prinston-Benoit, RN discusses her work improving healthcare in Haiti. Carole, with the help of the organization Cedecopa, funded and constructed a medical clinic in a rural town in Haiti. The clinic was inaugurated in 2007, and serves the town of Davenouce and its surrounding region. After the earthquake in 2010, Carole travelled to Port-au-Prince in order to serve in a surgical tent at one of the major hospitals.
This is the second installment in a series highlighting how Maimonides staff bring their passion for medicine and compassion for people beyond the walls of Maimonides Medical Center.
