"No More Silence" addresses important facts that parents and guardians should know to help protect children from abuse. In addition to facts and abuse resources, this video also features vignettes showing parents what actual conversations with children might look like around the sensitive subject.
This video was developed by the Great Valley Center as part of a pilot project to assist in the prevention of child sexual abuse in Merced County, California. The funding came as part of the federal Child Abuse Protection and Treatment Act (CAPTA) through the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families.
The Great Valley Center consulted with multiple agencies in Merced County to implement the prevention program and video, including Merced County Office of Education, Merced County Human Services Agency and Valley Crisis Center.
