Source: ABAisSCIENCE . Many children can be afraid of dogs. A desensitization program with extinction towards the problem behavior and exposure to the thing feared can solve the problem (desensitize the child). Your child might be begging you for a dog or a pet at least. Sorry about that. If you can\'t get unnatural reinforcers to be removed for your child to pet and like dogs don\'t buy one and stop visiting the pet store, but at least there will be no future problem behavior relative to animals.
