Coconut Oil Outperforms Mineral Oil for Your Skin
What you put on your skin goes directly into your lymphatics and circulation without passing the liver first, as happens when we eat something. And, some chemicals are more permeable across the skin
than across the gut. You should not put anything on your skin that you would not eat! Autopsy studies show that mineral oil widely permeates our internal organs and bioaccumulates particularly in the
liver and spleen.
Coconut oil is a much better choice because it is not toxic and in fact is healthy for us. It also works very well as a skin moisturizer; it even penetrates the shaft of hair, while mineral oil does
not.

Autism & Developmental Disorder Screening (ANDDS) App
Carefully observing a child's behavior can tell a lot of things to parents and clinicians about the potential risk of developmental delays. Does the child make eye contact when needed? Does
he/she smile at close family members? These are some of the signs that can tell whether or not an infant has the risk of developing autism or any other similar disorder.
Developed by WebTeam Corporation, ANDDS helps clinicians and parents screen for signs of developmental delays in young children. The app comes with age-specific questions to aid in quick and accurate
screening.
The video presents the views of Dr Michael Lewis, University Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Institute for the Study of Child Development at Robert Wood Johnson Medical
School - University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr Lewis is among the chief contributors to the content of ANDDS.

Estrogen and Testosterone Linked to Sudden Cardiac Death
According to a presentation at the Heart Rhythm Society in May of 2013, higher levels of estrogen are associated with an increased risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD) in both men and women.
Testosterone on the other hand was lower in men and slightly higher in women with SCD. More than 350,000 people die annually in the US from SCD.
Some of the reason for higher levels of estrogen than expected, especially in postmenopausal women who are supposed to have low estrogen levels, is that our bodies convert chemicals from pesticides,
plastics, and petroleum into powerful estrogen compounds called xeno-estrogens. They are very potent and likely explain why estrogen levels are higher than would normally be expected.

Avoiding Chicken To Avoid Bladder Infections
Subscribe for free to Dr. Greger's videos at:

DESCRIPTION: Handling chicken can lead to the colonization of one's colon with antibiotic resistant E. coli that may result in bladder infections in women.
I originally explored this topic in Chicken Out of UTIs (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/chicken-out-of-utis/), but decided I needed to take a much deeper dive, especially in light of the
cross-contamination issue, which I also previously touched on in Food Poisoning Bacteria Cross-Contamination (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/food-poisoning-bacteria-cross-contamination/) and Fecal
Contamination of Sushi (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/fecal-contamination-of-sushi/).
More on the insanity of feeding antibiotics to farm animals by the ton in:

Online app helps kids with diabetes eat safely
Each time 11-year old Isaac Hedrick sits down to eat, he makes sure a calculator is nearby. He has to. Isaac has diabetes, so at every meal, he must add up the amount of carbohydrates he will eat
and balance that with precisely the right amount of insulin he needs./nIf he doesn’t, his blood sugar levels can fluctuate and, over time, can wreak damage on his system./n“It can be tough,
especially for kids,” said David Repaske, MD, PhD, Chief of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. “Those levels need to be precise and figuring out your
dosage can be very tedious./nSo, to make things easier, Dr. Repaske has developed the first online app to help families calculate dosages ahead of time. The online diabetes calculator for kids
creates a printable, portable chart that makes meal times less stressful. “It’s great for everyone from teachers to camp counselors to have something printed out, not just for one time, but is
useful for a month or six months or a year, no matter what the conditions are,” said Repaske.

The other day I was reviewing patient files and I stumbled across a radiology report that read: "Weber type B fracture". To be honest, I didn't know what that was.
So I decided to read about it and make this information video so that YOU know more than I did a week ago.

How To Improve Your Memory and Lose weight Saturday Morning Diet

How To Improve Your Memory and Lose weight
We are all guilty of mindless eating.
We read, watch T.V., and talk all while eating our meals.
Mindless eating and not counting your daily intake of calories is the major cause of obesity in our modern society today.
There is new research to help you become more mindful of your eating habits and improve your memory in the bargain.
When you sit down to eat or grab a snack make a fist with your right hand for 90 seconds before eating anything.
Clenching your right fist before eating will reaffirm your desire to lose weigh and cause you to remember to count this meal in your total calories for the day.
Then clench your left fist when you want to boost your recall of your affirmation and desire to lose FAT!
Clenching your fist causes the side of your brain that controls the activity- in right-handed people, for example, the left side of the brain is the side responsible for creating memories and the
right side for recalling the information. ( The opposite applies if you are left-handed)
Other studies have found that making a fist can effect emotions as well. The right fist is linked to increased happiness and anger, which are both processed on the left side of the brain, while the
left fist tends to increase anxiety or sadness, because the right side of the brain processes those emotions.
Research shows that a Right-Left sequence works best.
Using your body to create a new body is an easy and effective way to lose weight.
Tony Robbins, the famous motivational speaker, calls it using your body to create a state of mind.
Go for it!
What do you have to lose other than FAT!
Bill and Joan Loganeski have discovered a meal replacement you can make at home for very little money and when combined with our Saturday Morning Diet plan it will help you lose the weight. The
Saturday Morning Diet channel is our educational and information channel to help you use lose weight in a healthy way.
